Nick is a West Hartford-based filmmaker and screenwriter who has been independently producing narrative shorts since 2006. Growing up as an only child in Waterbury, CT, he immersed himself in all things cinematic from a very young age -- his obsession supported, perhaps against their better judgment, by two wonderful parents who never denied him a trip to the local multiplex or his beloved VHS rental joint. He has served as producer, director, writer, and editor on several short films and music videos, including the 2008 comedy 'Jacko' -- winner of the first-ever HD Short Shorts competition hosted by HV20.com. He holds a B.A. in Cinema from the University of Hartford and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree, focusing on film studies, in the graduate English program at Trinity College. Nick is employed full-time in the multimedia department of the New Haven Register, and to date has produced over two hundred videos for the newspaper’s website. He completed his first feature screenplay, a comedy titled 'El Camino', in 2006, and is currently developing his second (and third and fourth) scripts. His latest short film, 'Wanderlust', is in pre-production as of October 2009 and is slated for completion later this fall. In addition to writing, moviegoing, and filmmaking, he enjoys playing golf (poorly), listening to indie bands none of his friends have ever heard of, spending time with his family and girlfriend, and authoring long-winded descriptions of himself written in the third person.
